I think his name was Gus?

Looks like a small Huntsman to me - sure it isn't just a moulting of the last skin? He/she could still be around in a slightly larger format now.

    Looks like a Huntsman.

They're harmless, and are great at catching mozzies, etc.

I did leave skids marks on a dirt farm track that stayed for weeks when one ran from under the sun visor and along the drivers window in a farm ute once! What name of this spider? What name of this spider?

You've never seen anyone in Wranglers and boots move so fast exiting a cab!
I don't think the ute had fully stopped and I was gone! What name of this spider?

Yeah, had that happen in a work van years ago - just pulled out the driveway in the morning and put the visor down as the morning sun was low - one was just sitting there looking at me - I stopped in the middle of the road very quickly and jumped out - the guy behind me gave me a toot - until he realised what I was doing (removing said spider) - then he gave me a wave and a laugh and went around me - Spider was shoveled out onto the nature strip pretty quick.

Funny fact: No species on the Earth could scare me except these moving little 8 legs friends.

More fun fact: my wife has no problem to play around with those spiders, but she will jump seeing an American cockroach. What name of this spider?

    Spider!

I was staying at my fishing club's shack in the Tasmanian highlands and felt something land on my face as I slept in the middle of the night. Half asleep I swept it quickly onto the wall and there it was , a very large huntsman staring at me!
Took some time before I resumed my forty winks!

Got a Huntsman living in our mailbox. I have 'neglected' to mention him to The Navigator, as she would go beserk and want to nuke the mailbox. What name of this spider?

Got a few in my house - some of them a lot bigger than that. Never bother me, and the grandkids attitude is "don't hurt it!".

We have them come inside sometimes too, they are usually gently removed and put outside. For some reason they find my RTV ute attractive, maybe because it is parked near the wood boxes and we bring them home with the firewood. I have been driving home and seen some reflective eyes looking at me from the gap between the windscreen and the dash. Just because they are harmless doesn't mean that having walk across you doesn't freak you out.

    Regards,
