What was your most Crap Car?

Serious question, What was your most piece of the proverbial?

For me it's a toss up between a Hillman Hunter GT that spewed smoke out of the gear box (or somewhere) & had shot shockies springs & most other things.
And a Fiat 124 1100 that needed first gear to get up the Toowoomba range & broke down continuously & was a mongrel to work on.

Probably the Hunter, it blew the clutch line the night we bought it & had to be pushed home.

I don't know that I've ever had a really bad one, they all have had their good points......

Disco 3, off the road for three months while the dealer found the can bus cable that had been tec screwed through. Was a very good vehicle until the engine failed to proceed with 280,000km on it.

I had a Falcon van as a work vehicle that used a sump full of oil to go to Bourke and return from Orange but that may have been my fault for driving it at 160KM/H for an hour when it had 600KM on it.....

Probably my least favourite vehicle was a work Pajero that had leaf springs in the rear. Unfortunately it was also indestructible.

    The work LV.

However, a second class drive is still better than a first class walk.

We bought a new Hunter Royal 660 (renamed Hunter GT) in 1971 and we drove it until 2008. It is still being driven.
Carnarvon to Sydney in 4 days, then back again. In the days when the Eyre Hwy in SA was still dirt.

Worst car? Probably the Toyota Corona with the Misfire engine. Or maybe the Toyota Starlet we had on Norfolk Island. Wait, there was my wife's 1968 Vauxhall Viva - very basic but it never let us down. Ceduna to Sydney non-stop (except for fuel) overnight for me to get back to see my fiancee (and back of course) and again a little later to marry her

    The Mechanic's Black Falcon.

The mechanic's Falcon. We sadly blew up the engine of a well-loved Holden Commodore right near Wellington Caves, NSW. The NRMA replacement vehicle was I think the local mechanic's Project. It was summer; the replacement vehicle was black and had no air con. We needed to go from Wellington Caves to Wombeyan Caves and then Sydney via Goulburn. The Falcon needed a full tank of fuel at every major town. Very glad of the transport but even more glad to hand it back.

LADA niva ute- Fantastic 4wd until the guts fell out 5th gear was a add on for Australia apparently. recycled nuclear sub i think. Horrid yet lovable. Beach Fishing and so much more fun. Rust was clearly going to be a big issue with mine .

Nissan vanette. A second hand japanese import. Jinxed for me right from the get-go.

Ended up swapping it for a toaster. That was 16 years ago. Toaster still works very well. No regrets with the cheap swap and many happy breakfasts many years later
