Letter posted in Newcastle last Thursday to me in Canberra - still has not arrived as of todays post in Canberra - so will be over a week from major city to major city - if it arrives at all.
That seems about right mostly these days but I ordered parts from Canberra Monday - arrived today but was express post - only cost $2.45 more on the stuff I bought so was worth it. [emoji106]
Looks like Aus. Post is being run by the housewives from Beverly Hills.
Australia Post spent $12,000 on Cartier watches for 'hard-working' bosses
Posties have had enough.
Australia Post's coronavirus delivery cuts face scrap heap
Blue eyed & Blonde & she thinks she can get away with Murder. Well not this time Sonny Jim if SCOMO has his way.:TakeABow::clap2:
This sort of crap really ****es me off. These guys were obviously on the payroll when they did these deals with the banks & well & truly on a motsa of a salary so why should they be paid for doing their jobs, not to mention what other perks they were receiving.
I'm sure they were all well rewarded without a gift of a Cartier Timepiece.
Why do they think their **** doesn't stink? (That wasn't an intentional rhyme btw. )[bigrolf] I bet that wasn't all they cost either because 'er indoors couldn't find a 3 grand watch on Cartier's website & possibly a special deal was struck for a quantity buy. GST? Import duties?
The plot will thicken I am sure & just another crap day in the life of the Govt. It could only be made a bit more exciting if Dan had done this deal.[bigrolf][bigrolf]
Just another subject for Peta Credlin to look at. In time.
I suppose one day someone will get some bargains at a Govt Auction.
Why shouldn't workers be rewarded for bringing a lucrative contract - I bet if it was a $3K money bonus rather than a watch no one would have batted an eyelid.
It annoys me that "rewards" seem to be Ok for the private sector but in the public sector it is a no no.
I suppose that the $600 Covid bonus that all Aust Post workers also got is unacceptable and should be given back.
FFS.
....& for those who are not aware posties are on staggered shifts meaning you start at 6 one day & 9:30 the next. This means that on a late start you do not earn any OT, effectively meaning a huge pay cut. Meanwhile the CEO spends $150k a year on indoor plants  & wears a $48k watch at the hearing. Post swapped one crap CEO for another. Bye-bye Christine :2up:
