Anyone else think Australia Post has dropped their bundle.?

Ordered some parts from Victoria I am in a suburb of Townsville Nth Qld so not in the middle of nowhere. Any way tracking indicated they went from Melbourne to Redcliffe QLD back to Melbourne, back to Redcliffe and now somewhere in between. Lucky i'm not stuck in some remote location. No wonder we are going backwards. If i go by their tracking info it will have taken 22 days. Not happy Jan as its holding up my tdi to isuzu conversion. Rant over.

Not that uncommon, i’ve sent packages from Sydney to vic going via Queensland (princess state :-) ) and back via nsw. Last package from wa took 13 days. Covid, but Aus still function compared to South Africa... dead as a door nail... with all the restrictions I think aus post is still doing ok. They might have to work on their automatic AI package system.

Last week I had a pacakge go via Brisbane to get from Geelong to Flemington. I wish I’d saved the tracking link. It got here and didn’t have to quarantine crossing the Qld border so I guess I’m ok.

Aust Post did release a statement saying that due to the work restrictions on distribution centres in Victoria that they were shipping parcels interstate for sorting to free up limited Victorian capacity for victorian delivery sorting.

2 weeks ago I sent a Priority Paid Next Day Delivery envelope from rural Vic to Melbourne. Cost me $7.50. It took 5 days to be delivered.

I have a PO box about 15min's from my home & pay for the post office to send me an email when there is mail to P/U so I am not making a waisted trip. Usually get the message around 9am. I had no message this morning but around 10.30 I had to go to the PO to send a package. When I got there I thought I would check the box & there was mail , the line into the PO was out side the door & there was about 20 people inside waiting to be served , there is usually 3 people working but there was only one person serving a old lady who was who had a fist full of rates accounts to pay ( must have owned a few rentals) I decided to come back next week .I am guessing that they have cut the staff.

4018 is Tiagum to Boondal, serviced from the Geebung Mail Centre, so not a badly written postcode.
