Neither did I but supposedly a small percentage of melanoma cases have no outward signs on the skin. Thought by the melanoma specialist to have possibly started within tissue containing melanin within the eyes. Anybody mention sun glasses.

My understanding is that in some cases the melanoma on the skin has been overcome by the body's defences before being spotted, but not in a metastasis location. Or has simply not been recognised on the skin.
Well.....events progress. I removed the dressings to change them on Saturday and it's uh oh again. There's another 'melanoma' the size of a 20 cent piece beside the stitches which wasn't there 4 days ago so I'm immediately back to the emergency doc.
Fortunately the biopsy results had arrived late Friday and luckily for me it was good news. There is no malignancy. What these growths are is apparently somewhat rare and a name I can't recall and it is a very good Melanoma imitator.
The doc casually remarked that in their clinical discussions about me prior to the test results arriving that they thought my prognosis was very poor. Me too!
Pressure is off.[biggrin]
