Are any phones made in Australia?
Yup I am on my second Xiaomi - old one working fine after 4 years, just suffered from the same planned obsolescence they all do. By my reckoning, about half the price or less compared to an equivalent Samsung or the like. And yes, reasonably frequent OS updates.
Don't think I feel a need to run the same tests, though, as the OP... [emoji16]
I've still got my old Telstra phone. Problem is, every time I try to go more than a metre or so from the wall socket it unplugs. Crap with app compatibility too.Quote:

My hand me down oukitel K1000 is great, replaced the battery and LCD/touch assembly for less than $50 .
Battery lasts a week and it runs all the apps I need.
