[QUOTE=Roverlord off road spares;3096829]hey Epic I had a puncture rang up supplier of chair about it.
they were coming out 3 days later on a Monday to fit the buddy button I had paid for when the chair was built, they had software issues re programming it on existing computer, hey said they would look at the puncture on that same day. I agreed.
But Monday came and I got a call saying they couldn't make it and were coming on Tuesday.
The chap came fitted the buddy button, jacked up the chair and removed the the flat wheel. He then told he has put my chair on blocks and is going a tyre shop as he didn't have a tyre bead breaker on him.

So he left with the wheel , it was getting late in the day and he didn't return.
The next day I rang the company and they said they had t send the tyre out and they would return the day after.
The day after and another disability supply company phoned me and they came to fit it that day.

Then i get emailed this bill.

    Repairs and Maintenance 1 $5.00 $5.00 10 %
    Service Date: 30/6/21
Carried out repairs / service to clients wheelchair.
    - repair puncture on AT wheel
    R/M
    202575 Glide Part - Tube for 145/70-6 knobby tyre 1 EA $31.31 $31.31 0 %

    REPLAB Repair - Labour 1 $110.00 $110.00 10 %

    C/O Call Out Fee 1 $120.00 $120.00 10%

    SubTotal $266.31
    GST$23.50
    Total $289.81.

Now the way I see it, they were coming out anyway to fit the buddy button they were supposed to when my chair was ordered and manufactured. They were paid in full before delivery.
They were here to fit that button which they for what ever reason was their problem at the time and didn't. they had to come here to fullfill the contract. they charged $5 for something, then labour $110 and $31.31 for the tyre.

but the $120 call out fee

is this because the service van doesn't carry the right tools on board for jobs ad another company came out to fit the whee back on I have to pay for that also?
so basically it cost $250.50 for someone to change a tyre and I was 5 days off the road.[/QUOT

the NDIS paid out the some that was originally quoted on the sign off of old OT so they have done there part of the deal. the $15K is now extra money needed to fix the stuff up caused my the OT that was hired by me but paid for by ndis funding. so we need to go the OT company. the OT company boss also signed off on it so they cant say it's their employees fault.

We got some good news late this arvo that the previous OT company agreed to pay the costs as a result of their mistake and we can get the newer lift organised and airfreighted from Canada and the new concrete works so the new lift can fit in to. So hopefully it doesn't take too long, we were initially told manufacture and air freight could be 6 weeks.

Well next Thursday we have the lift company and the builder and our OT, and our personal manager coming out to check the platform and the opening on the veranda to make sure the measurement are right and they have all the ducks in line so there wont be any more mistakes. So when the new lift comes from Canada it can be installed with out any more problems. As I don't think we can go back to NDIS with any more problems. Heather

Well today was a busy day here with the lift company, builder ,Ot and our manager here. Today we found out that the old OT company has paid the air freight for the lift and the concert works, and opening of the veranda. Also the lift company is going to order the lift from Canada, even though they haven't got the money from NDIS that where paying the difference between the 2 lifts. They said that they will wait for the money to come through. 2 weeks for the lift to be made, and 1 week airfreight from Canada. So they said allow 4 weeks for job to be finish And the builder will be out here redoing the concert and opening on the veranda soon so it is ready for the lift. I can not fault these company that we have been dealing with, they knew what we have been through and want to see this to the end, and make Mario happy, and he can get in and out of the house with safely with his wheel chair. Also we had to fit in Dr app to get our second jab today. So Mario is a bit tired today. Heather

I can't wait, as it's for my safety, just yesterday I had to leave the house and try to get to the garage where my wheel chair is parked, as the builders wanted me to show my turning circle onto the proposed. with Heather's help and using a walker we battled to get down the steep rear steps. I lost my balance and nearly had a fall onto the concrete. after they left we Had to get me back into the house. later I had to the doctors for my 2nd covid shot.
So again we struggled to get to my chair parked outside.
After arriving home from the doctor, I was pretty exhausted and the challenge of getting back into the house.
Luckily my neighbour was home and kindly help us get me back inside with the walker. With Heather at the front pulling and my neighbour pushing me from behind, slowly step by step they got me back inside the house with out me falling.
So the installation of this lift as possible is critical. They have prioritised it now.

Ian, I've been pretty miserable because of the extreme pain, but yesterday I received a gift to cheer me up from a little 8yr old girl whom I've never met before. She is the daughter of my support co-ordinator.

I had previously heard this little girl had been bullied at school and didn't want to go to school . Via her mother I would pass on some dad jokes about chickens. She would look forward to receiving the jokes and I started hearing those dad jokes appearing in the community, places like the post office.

I was pretty chuffed with my present and told her it was going straight to the pool room!
