We are very happy here, the lift is finished 99.98%, we can use it.. they just need to come back and wire in the sensor beam and put a yellow line so Mario know where his chair is to sit once he get in The guys where great they worked through cold light rain and wind. Will put up photo's tomorrow once it stop raining here.
YAY that it's installed!!!!!
yes i got to use it this morning by being able to drive into the house.
I found the door when it closes scrapes the concrete when l'm in the lift, so this will need adjusting. or i somehow loose thos extra kilos l've put on by not being able to exercise and with the meds l'm on.
got no hair but need a haircut with what l've got lol. covid restrictions.
So good to see you getting the wheels in :)
Today was a disaster !! My neighbour with the broken foot and on a mobility scooter and l had arranged to go on a sortie to grab a coffee and some sashimi in nearby Belgrave this morning. So i pop into my new lift the auto door closes behind me, l press the down button and it goes down 10mm and stops. it wont go up nd it wont go down. After trying all call buttons none will work. the door cant be opened unless lift is level with floor due to safety lock.
looks like parking it in the garage again.
I however still met up with my neighbour and we went to Belgrave as planned.
On the way back I had a steep gutter a cross over and l didn't have my foot rest up high enough on the approach and it hit the road and bent the square tube 90 deo. l wonder how much that's going to cost to fix.
Any way I got home and the dilemma was how do l get back into the house. Heather went and got a neighbour over to help , we were hoping that with 2 helpers and me using a walker trying step by step at the back of the house with Heather behind me with a stool to catch me if l was to fall, so l could quickly sit down.
that idea didn't work , as l started have a turn. ( l had one last night when my BP dropped to 63 over 55 , my eyes were blurry and l could only see bright white_and it took 1/2hr for it to stabilise to normal.)
Next option was to wait for 2hrs outside for an ambulance with stair climbing equipment.
So my neighbours went to see if they could get the lift going. We tried turning power off to try resetting it, they found trip switch on the motor panel and that got it going. . So l was able to motor into the hose on my chair.
I paid for and emergency phone on the lift, which hasn't been fitted. There is no ahrs contact number for help.
The installers have to come back to finish a couple of things, and did say we could use it in the mean time, maybe it wasn't ready to be commissioned yet.
Oh my gosh what a day you've had! I'm glad that the lift is working again, and the teething troubles are fixed when they return to finish fitting things.
Glad you were not injured in the curb incident, and the powerchair can be fixed. Ndis will fund repairs, I hope they are fast for you [emoji1696]
I am so glad to have my wheels home. Really enjoy my car today 4wding at the neighbours! Tame stuff as can't break it yet as need to do my lessons and test in it
Let the installers know what has happened.
With all the rain we had Friday night ,it may have got into some electricals and tripped the switch.
