    While he played Darth Vader he did not voice the role - this was done by James Earl Jones.

    David Prowse obviously did the voice in the filming but it was then dubbed by James Earl Jones - I heard some of the takes on TV this morning and David Prowse's light midlands English accent just did sound right - too effeminate - James Earl Jones voice over was perfect.
