Look I can understand clubs being formed to target a particular vehicle but to not let people be an associate of the club, or associate with them on an outing is just plain ridiculous. That is why I am not a member of a 4x4 club. If I was to join I would prefer a generic club or a LR one with fair association rules. The reality is most of my friends do not drive LR's and I do not think it right that they could be excluded from an outing just because of poor taste in vehicles.
Oh well, these RROC members should just remember it was a Serie LR that gave birth to the RR, not the other way around. Does that therefore make RR abhorations??
:D :p :D :p
Well I'm thinking of starting my own offshoot club for 02MY Defender 110's - must be Oslo blue, must have VIN ending in 643257. Anyone with vehicles meeting those criteria are welcome to join.
What a great idea, my club will except only silver Discovery 2s with the exact same rego number as mine:pQuote:

A special meeting will need to be called by yourself, where you can either vote yes or no to a motion of no confidence in yourself.
If a yes vote is garnered, you will be banned from yourself, and your club will have to be disbanded.
You can appeal to yourself, but will have to follow the instructions laid out in section 22, part 3 expulsion of self from said entity, and appeals allowed.
Good luck with that though:rolleyes::lol:
Having been a member of the Range Rover Club, but leaving about 6 years ago ( to help form the discovery club), when they went through a precious "orchard visit" period I feel qualified to comment.
Although they were big with over 400 members , only about 60 were active abnd this is probably even more a problem now with Rangies at $150K and Discos at 65k plus..
I see nothing wrong with a one make club. There are many. Maybe the member made a mistake in asking the Disco to join them. This is pretty silly as the directors of the club would be taking public liability responsibility for the person's welfare, and if the person was hurt they could be sued as he was not a club member. So the problem is that asking even the Disco was stupid and I doubt whether the person asking had any authority to do so, unless he was a committee member..
I recall that members could bring a guest along once only , and I recall taking a Pajero with us to Yalwal once about 13 years . He got through with only severe bash plate damage. But this was before director's liability.
I prefer the rough and tumble of a mixed brand club like the discovery club, although we have so many GUs now maybe it should be the disGUvery club. What would we talk about if not the merits of one brand vs another.

Because of your long service to the club the commitee has been leniant towards you. We have given you 24hrs to dispose of a few members of your family. Failure to do so will result in your waving rights to be revoked.
