I'm not so sure, I've seen reporters who know the Capitol say it is a bit of a maze in there and doors are un-labelled, un-numbered yet some of the rebels knew where to go, also some brought flak jackets, cable tie hand cuffs, inside the building and petrol bombs, firearms, pepper spray, outside the building. I think most were unorganised but a minority pro'ly had a plan and used the general riot as cover, some were ex-military and I think serving police members. The building now has metal detectors at the doors so arms can't be brought in and secreted to be used later. Most of the rebels left without be apprehended, so who knows if they were carrying sidearms, even knives, history shows how planes have been hijacked with box cutters!

Trump might need Biden to pardon him, as Gerald Ford did For Robert Nixon, as his lawyers have advised against pardoning himself, as it could be seen as an admission of guilt in any civil suits that follow.

i've not read into it in that level of detail, so i'll take your word for it.

if it was to be a coup, its not one we've seen before. possibly an autocoup but again, not one we;ve seen before. coup's have forward leadership. a coup is a top-down seizure of power.

what happened is closer to anarchism and election interference.

This may be a good time to post the speech Trump made nefore the riot. People can make their own mind up on whether it was inflammatory, and inciteful.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

And here we have " Counting electoral votes : an overview of procedures at the joint session, including objections by members of Congress. " I 'm adding these stories from the National Archives [ and BTW, this is the quickest FOI release I've ever seen ] because as is normal in these things we are going around in circles getting no where , and eventually we will end up as has happened so many times before, swirling down the drain hole. Hopefully this will be a circuit breaker, to bring us back to more mature discussion.

I have another report titled " State Dept. warned of White Supremacists in Law enforcement 15 years ago." The FBI intelligence assessment on this subject is here. However, I will place this in CA. , along with " Harsher language on White Supremacists removed from final threat assessment". Hope people may be beginning to see a clearer background of events.

While in power the US president is immune from prosecution in the courts and the ONLY venue that can be used for an impeachment trial is the Senate.
Lets face it getting a conviction in the senate with all his "Cronies" backing him will be Far more difficult than getting him convicted by his peers in a court of law.
