I’m in Melbourne. I’ll go in the Ford if I have to.

Hi,
Most of the 4wd tracks link in with maintained roads either end. Some don't, but you won't see everything in one lifetime anyway.
If the choice was between B class motorhome and 4wd/camping to see Tas, bring the motorhome - the choice of overnight spots at carparks, trail heads, turnouts etc will be greater. If you like solitary camps of course.
Cheers
Thanks - yes, we’d like to free camp as much as possible, motorhome is fully self contained including grey water storage. Probably only look for a caravan park a couple of times for washing clothes and having a longer shower. [emoji106]
I’ve heard Tas is much more friendly to free camping than Vic for example - I’m assuming if you aren’t allowed to camp somewhere they’ll be signs? Generally we like to be as far from others as possible but the motorhome may make things a little harder as it’s not as compact as my other camping options. (but far more comfortable) [emoji16]
Hi, size, style?
Cheers

Went to Tasmania couple of years back , everyone said we would only need a week , BULL we didn't even scratch the surface of 1/4 of it in two weeks . There is so much to see , we would have only have seen a tenth if that of the 1/4 we travelled . Love that place , hope to get back some time .
