How I obtained this info is TOP SECRET so it can't be divulged. No really.

Anyhow, that is always the way it seems to me so can't be too wrong.

EDIT. Bugger, it looks like GOOGLE has rumbled me. Suggest you both have your Saliva Tested.

Part of the reason coffee flavor doesn't live up to the olfactory hype is because saliva destroys nearly half of the molecules responsible for the aroma. Scientists have found 300 of the 631 chemicals involved in forming the complex coffee scent are changed or digested by saliva, which contains the enzyme amylase.

    Hi,
Footrot Flats has Dog spitting out fresh cow pat and exclaiming the similarity to coffee.
i.e. smell is better than the taste.
    Cheers

Yes - I’m from Melbourne, my Daughter is a Barista and my Partner sold high end coffee to restaurants and cafes for 10 years until recently. We have a machine at home that makes better coffee than most places I can buy it from.

My question still stands - where can you get a good coffee in Adelaide? Political correctness gone mad
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

There are places that are good and happen to sell coffee, but you go there for the atmosphere.

I drink short black. The places I go to for coffee are Pranzo in the CBD where the coffee is so rich and strong that the taste stays with you for several hours.

At the beach in Brighton, Luna cafe is rich and oily, and the best in the area .... but, only if the right barista is on. The bakery next door does great pies (bad coffee) so all of life’s essentials are sorted in one place.

The Tomb stone inscriptions with the surnames "Black" and "White" will have their offensive names removed, and what about the singer Marin Gay.

Me too, because it is not made in commercial quantities but individual serves, but they couldn't do it like that in a Caff.

We have been known to visit, nay frequent, the warehouse where it is blended, roasted & ground @ Rio Coffee.

IMHO, caffs use far too much milk & that can kill a good cuppa. We don't do Blick.

Rio Coffee is one of my favourite shops in Adelaide. We had a coffee in Hutt street once which was really good, so I asked them what coffee it was, and then I went and found them in Stepney. I still order from them from time to time. Drives the bloke in the PO mad with the aroma...

Caffs tend to overheat the milk as well. I can tell a good caff by the lack of milk smell. But I only do blick. Can't stand milk.

In an ideal world, you require different blends of beans for short blacks/esspresso (no milk or water) vs long blacks (with water) vs lattes/cappuccino's etc (with milk) to get the best tasting coffee. You would also need a dedicated coffee grinder for each blend, or clean between each style, which is impractical.
Life is just a series of obstacles preventing you from taking a nap.
