Good trout fishing close at hand too! Tyenna River, Cluny Lagoon, Lake Repulse, Lake Catagunya and Wayatinah Lagoon.

The Mt. Field area has some good walks, too. In '98 we did the Mt. Field West walk, through the 'Lions Den' and around the tarns. K-col and Webster tracks spring to mind. So much differing landscape and fauna. The was a certain frog in the heath area that had us looking for sheep. Dead set sounded like one.

It took us the whole day to do, 14 hours or something but, with Tassie, Christmas time daylight, it wasn't an issue.

Hi all, well in 10 days we'll have been here for 2yrs, I want to apologise' for not responding to some of the posts, at times we had a very sketchy internet and phone service, we've finally got a good service now that we have signed up to Skynet, sorry Starlink, had it in for about 6 months now and it seems very good(highly recommend it)

Should be moving into our new shed in the next week or so to start the renovation of the house, exciting times.

Congratulations! It's nice country up there. We've been in Tas around 7 years now. No second head yet, I'm still getting used to asking for egg and bacon rolls instead of bacon & egg.

We have a 1989 Perentie ambulance converted to a campervan, just passed licensing, and will be doing a few trips around Tassie before heading to WA via the Gunbarrel Highway. We were looking to get the Starlink mobile setup, but I saw a review video where it seemed to have lots of issues picking up the satellite. Maybe it was an app or user issue.

Tassie was Mario's favourite place, easy to drive around we went camping/fishing there.
He loved to fish there for trout using his flys that he tyed him self, loved the great lakes area.
He always said to me that he would love to retire there.

We are about 45mins from the Great Lakes, always going to the Great Lake Hotel for lunch and dinner very nice area.

It was a plan for us too, unfortunately Kerry passed away after finishing all the planning to come down, so Ness and I decided we'd finish her dream, we miss her dearly

    **** Cancer.
