I often wondered if they were still flogging the last dregs out of the old 110 Isuzu 4 speeders.
i just saw 20 110 Army trucks with Tinnes on the back , half way up the cape. I was at Musegrove road house. Looked cool apart from the Toyota between them.

Seeing as the poms have recently decided to replace their wheel cars with non LR, and I suspect our specifications for new cars is similar (NATO minimum specs and all) I wouldn't be surprised if the Army went with another brand.

mmmmm Pinzgauer, Toyo, something from the Rhine or Seth Efrica? maybe even the land of the septic.

    Defence Landies

    G'day Folks

There was a one off purchase of TD5 Landies, 38 I think, in about 2004, they had 2 for appraisal then followed up with another 36, there is refererence to them on REMLR.com the main site for the Registry of Ex-Military Land Rovers. also there is reference to the drum-disc update. A post on the REMLR forum on here will possibly get you more info

It was based of the Bushrangers. They set it up for evaluation but I moved on before hearing what the outcome was.

I recall seeing a photo (on AULRO, I think) from Tenix showing the rear axle with discs.

as Ford canned all military work/sections (and staff) when they took over LR, they won't even tender for it. Just not interested. They are trying to project a Luxury image, remember....
