How hard would it be to get someone to shim out the frame inside so that there was no dent under the handles?

What a clever man you are. I did my Simpson desert trip in a SIII, then came home & bought a Defender (at least by then I could justify it). To be picked up later this week - I'm excited.
Congratulations and I hope you have a good time on your trip. 3 weeks is a bit of a rush for preparing a new vehicle - but that just adds to the excitement.
I don't think a pre-delevery check amounts to much, mine had plenty of loose bolts and they even left all the swarf from fitting the cargo barrier for me to clean out later.Quote:

If I'm not mistaken, that's the Knolls Track _ French Line junction?
I too had swarf inside due to extra rivets in rea quarter panel where it joins rear door closing point. These are put in by dealer as not considered strong enough otherwise. Unpainted too of course.
