The wife recently got a letter in the mail from the WA license verification centre asking her to confirm her ID
Send a copy of birth certificate and drivers license via email
I told her it was a scam, just ignore it
Her sister (twin) got the same letter (addressed to her) a week later
Ignored as my wife said it was a bit weird to verify your licence when it wasn’t due for renewal
A month later the sisters-in-law got a visit from the sender of the letter (he had all the right ID and government car etc), all he needed to do was verify that he had seen her in person seen her birth certificate and license then proceeded to our place for the same
Apparently the facial recognition software was getting confused with the drivers license photos on record and he had to physically verify that there is two people that look the same
Seems the government wants to know who’s where doing what at all times
I’ve grown my hair and a beard since my last photo
Time to start wearing sunnies every where
