Soccer is going to hot up in Australia over the next 4 year, and i was reading in the paper that there is a bit of a tussle between a few big names in the coach world as to who will replace the russia bound Hiddink. Now we have proven we can match it with the worlds best they all want to coach us. Matt

Great game and Australia played far better. Damn ref again. FIFA really need to take a long hard look at the refs they are using.
But also, go down like that in front of goal, if the ref does not have agood view it is always going to be a penalty shot. Saw it enough as a goalie.
3 seconds was all that was needed. Defence and mid field was fantastic. Attack led a little to be desired, if no one in the square a shot needs to be taken, only takes a bad defence to let one in. Italy were playing that bit right.
Any way well done to the lad's. Best result for Australia. A little page in Aussie Soccer History written.

... and when they do, let's pray they also get ROBBED BLIND by the other team in the last seconds of the match.

I feel the Italians were the better team

To only have 10 players and defend the way they did, they
left very few oppurtunities for the Socceroos

If we were up to their level we would of at least had a goal or
two on the board and won the game
