Not wanting to pick bones but
Many call it a ferry Rort
But that is because many catch the ferry
Drive to the tip
Maybe stay a night at Seisia
And race back south
BUt the permit purchased at the ferry is actually an access and camping permit for all DOGIT lands north of about Heathlands and the NPA
Ie most of the Tele track
Essentially you can either pay your $200 or whatever to cross a stretch of water and leave the next day
Or you could spend a month or two camping in some wild and remote locations that the 2 week school holiday rocket ships don’t visit and still only pay $200
Your call - it’s only a rort if you don’t use the value imbued in the permit?
Kinda like going to the Royal Easter Show paying $100 to get in , buying some candy floss at the entrance store and leaving ... that would be a rort but only because you chose to make it one!
Getting to the nub of the question - will the $10 make a difference - well I think it is safe to assume that funding receipted to the NPA indigenous organisations is spent about as efficiently as your council rates and taxes. Sometimes it Sure doesn’t feel like we get value for money there !!!!

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
