G'day All, after reading this thread and by the way it's way too cold outside (fer me anyway) to be playing with cold spanners etc, I had a look through my emporium of magazines that contain anything of interest to Land Rovers,and yes I have the Overlander mag June/July '76 $1.25c with the Game on the front cover, and a two page read of what it is etc, no tech specs though. I also found the first Overlander magazine with a story on the S3 109" Land Rover and on the inside of the mag a 2 page spread on a young (way back then) woman from Holland called Willie/Wilhelmina sic?, bet she doesn't look like that anymore, but from memory they had the nude centerfolds for about a year then pressure from all sides cause it was supposed to represent a family oriented perspective the centerfold was dropped like a hot rock ah well progress. But as I have stated before I'm a computer dummy and could not post anything even if my life depended on it, so if anyone wants to view it email me and I will send it cheers Dennis

Naa, the nude centrefolds we're part of 'Off Road Australia' which was started by Wayne Cantell. Overlander followed some time later (with I think Michael Richardson as editor) and no nudes. Had all the early ones that dad bought when I was a little tacker and though the centre spreads in Off Road were pretty cool
Also had all the early Overlanders but lost the lot in a house fire some years ago

Good fun... the only SWB I have owned... a mate and I did a fishing trip in it up north (WA), it was a hoot. The only drama we had was the fuel in the glass bowl on the lift pump foaming from the heat and corragations, and the "..go...stop...go...stop..." result!
Mine had a fibre-glassed bonnet with a ressesed oval in it to accept the bigger tyre/wheel... not sure if this was original?
Will dig out some photos and post them if it shows the bonnet.
