Well Done Gordon...............Got to say it......youve got B...s to put a new vehicle into a comp like that

As has been said the D3 is by far the most accomplished 4x4 off the showroom floor.

Did you pick yours up today...........mine is still there they didn't finish it.

Hope you're coming on the 8th, I'll probably bring the white Rhino with the super swampers if this rain keeps up and with your success we will volunteer you for the Dragons Back

    Richard,

No, didn't get the roof rack fitted today - need the resources to finish off the side steps and replace the mudflaps, so it'll have to wait a couple of weeks

Looking forward to Harvey, but I'll let you know about the Dragon's Back

    Cheers,

    Gordon

    Hey Richard and Gordon
You need to remove those mudflaps prior to off roading,I have watched a certain south east coast D3 owner doing it to his D3 HSE whilst airing down.
NOT DOBBING but I thing the described person was doing so because he learnt its best to do so in previous trips.

    Andrew,

Yes, that is what I intended to do, but with the slightly larger diameter tyres, I'd have to remove the wheel to get at the mudflap screws. I didn't have time for that when I got to the comp grounds. So I'm just going to replace them with flexible ones.

    Cheers,

    Gordon

    Hi Gordon
Jamo had trouble getting to one of the screws also, but did get it in the end.Whats needed is one of those useless for most jobs 90deg offset screwdrivers.
