    Have 1.5mb down at home and looking to get ADSL2 at home soon (24mb down and 1mb up), just waiting for it to become availble later on this year !!

    you can acually be too close :P mate couldnt get a decent connect no matter what and it turned out he was too close to get good speed. they eventaully supplied him with a modded modem to cope with it, but best he could get was 512....

    I have finally had 2 way satellite connected after about a 3 month wait, but can still only get 512.
    Goes well for downloads, but browsing could be a lot better

    I'm on bigpond cable - unlimited downloads - dunno what the speed is my sons made me order the speed that cost extra easier to just go with the flow when it comes to computers

    I have a bigpond cable extreme connection. It is really fast when the server at the other end is fast. I downloaded the beta copy of Office 2007, around 440 meg in around 6 minutes. The extra speed is really only noticeable when downloading large files.
