Damage
This vehicle has seen a lot of off road use. It has just returned from a Simpson desert crossing and the following items need attention - I can fix them, or sell the car as is : engine needs rings (probably pisons too) and rear main seal (using too much oil), front (L) spring is broken and has been welded & strapped - I'm waiting on a reply from British springs before deciding whether to replace with parabolics or standard springs. On over run 1st gear sometimes jumps out. The overdrive is a bit worn, but it just did a 6,000km trip and kept engine revs at 3000rpm at 100kph - we were able to talk without yelling at that speed. The cross member under the engine is dented though still structurally sound. The Land Rover was stolen a few years ago and found the next day. The thieves had rammed a gate and driven over a bollard, which dented the bull bar (repaired), bent the sump (replaced) and dented the crossmember (left as is).
I haven't advertised it yet - I was going to fix it first, but for interests sake, there it is. (located in Melbourne). $5K is as is price.
