Hi Roger,
It seems that if you buy a new Puma Nanocom kit the lead will be blue. If you purchase a seperate lead Ncom24 the plug will be black. It appears that the black lead may not be needed now days, and you may be able to use the blue lead for both D2 and Puma.

This lead (~1.5 m long) must be used to connect to any CAN BUS model vehicle with the Nanocom Evolution. It is supplied with all CAN BUS Kits. This lead (~1.5 m long) also has a crossover capability to be used with the Discovery II and Defender but not all systems in the P38.

The lead that I have (& have had for more than 5 yrs) to do Td5 Disco 2, Td5 Defender & Puma is actually black with just the inner part of the OBDII plug being blue.
