Crumpster - was that your vehicle or Noddy's? That aluminium cowling over the heater intake looks like the one he has.... unless everyone but me has one .....

Looks like a reasonably dangerous crossing - that water was flowing quite quickly. How far up the drivers (upstream) door did it rise during the crossing?

I tend to agree, not the safest way to ford a river very very lucky not to get swept downstream

My vehicle, the cowling is Fibreglass, apparently the mold for the alloy one got stuffed at the foundry.Water was about half way up the door at deepest with the odd splash coming thru the window.

hehe... that's a fair bit of pressure! How did the door (especially at the floor) seals go?

Forging streams and rivers like this - i.e. over a concrete causeway or weir can be a bugger compared to crossing a river bottom as you can't turn upstream to counteract the pressure coming downstream....otherwise you fall off!

I'm not being a baby I've just seen the aftermath a few to many times. If I saw you guys ford it safely, I'd consider following but wouldn't be the first in line (to much of a Baby for that)

There was a Tojo behind me that said "stuff it, I'll wait." The honour of the marque was at stake. Even if we did get washed off, there was no risk of drowning, the crocs would have got us first.
