Thread: Defender 130

Sorry but all my pics are locked up in my good computer and its currently dead. I let the smoke out and the drives arn't compatible with this one.

I've only recently got my 2002 130, but it's not the usual 4 door type, but a Cab Chassis with a canopy on the back (ex-Telstra vehicle).

It came with bull-bar, snorkel, 140L Fuel tank, 50L water tank, Dual Battery system, 2 spares on the back of the canopy, UHF CB, strengthend chassis and rear diff & driving lights for $21,000. 130,000Km on it.

I almost bought a 'normal' 130, but thought that the big canopy etc solved all of my storage problems in one go (we only need 2 seats - no good if you want to take the kids).

I've just pulled the canopy off to refurbish it and paint it white. Then I'll be putting on my rooftop tent, a small kitchen with a hot water service, and shelving.

I think the 130 is the way to go for extended touring. Just a bit more room than the 110. Woeful turning circle though!
