    Disco rear door ladder

I saw this in a local car yard today and thought the ladder looked very neat (which is more than can be said for the roofracks!) but it appeared to be held on by a couple of screws in the skin of the door. Does anyone know what brand/type of ladder this is and is it really strong enough or will it damage the door?

It looks like a genuine ladder.
If that's the case, the upper mount will wrap over the upper edge of the taildoor.
The lower mount is fitted using rivnuts.

I'v never heard of a problem with them.

Thats true, big boys can bend the back door with these things. Not really visible, but the dust sealing gets even worse..

I spose a 100+kilo's effectively swinging on the door hinges wouldn't do it to much good over time

If you're reasonably flexible just grab on to the roof rack, step up onto the spare wheel and climb up from there.

Well Andrew might I suggest you and the boyz at work try some roadside aerobics ,shovels in hand would be quite the spectacle for those parked behind the guy with the stop sign in his hand

    Exclamation

You could consider a pull out ladder off the roof rack, similar to those used by the roof top tent brigade.
