How do you know what is a good solar panel.

Our installer tested the eight-year old original RCS panels the previous owner had installed on our house when we upgraded and said they were still fine at around 90% efficiency, so that was good.
Our new panels are also RCS, but are a design divided into two halves, so if one half is shaded the other half still works.
RCS is a European company but also manufactures in China.
As said above, he recommended hosing the panels around midday on hot days to cool them to increase their efficiency.

Actually Tindo Solar in Adelaide still manufacture solar panels in Australia. Warranty is 90% max power at 12 years, and 80% at 25 years.

Actually, they assemble their panels there, the cells come from Korea from memory, the framework from china, parts from companies like q-cell, dupont, bridgestone, dow corning etc..
