Did some google homework on the Maidenwell Showground. Looks very nice, showers, toilets, low cost and even pet friendly.

Looks like I'm in, roster change.

Are we still doing dinner and breakfast?

So what is the consensus for camping?

Is the back of the pub no longer available?

Like Steve, I will be travelling light.

Isn't there an observatory at Maidenwell? There's a waterfall not far from there too, from memory.

It's available but on a first in best dressed basis. On the same night, there is also a large birthday party camping at the pub.

Should we do the trivia at the showground? We could then partake of a refreshing bevy, during the proceedings.

That waterfall is not to speculator I can tell you. The LONG walk down was a disappointment. But the small shop has some really nice preservers and sauces. Showers at the sports are $2.00 each but I suppose you can take your own hot water and have it for free. BTW the camp ground is free and next door to the pub.
