I know one anti vaxxer who won't change his mind no matter what happens.
He declared early last year that the whole thing was a hoax, that since he hadn't personally seen anyone drop dead from COVID that there must be no-one dying from COVID.
Having committed to that view, he now misinterprets almost every piece of information that comes out. Anything he can't twist to suit his position, he simply dismisses as government lies.
Nothing will change his mind. If he was in ICU, he would find some way to deny that he had fallen victim to a pandemic.
I suspect that quite a few of the AV bunch are just as determined to maintain their attitude.

Did a search and cannot find it now. Should have book marked it. Was a story about anti Vax in USA and the number of ‘high’ profile expert deniers from media who have died of the virus. Now it was not possible for them to quantify the percentage of them this represented but was a long list

I think if he made it to ICU he would certainly be convinced that he backed the wrong horse.


The 800k-odd of yanks that have already died would be a figment of someone's imagination I suppose..

I think it has struck here already as me poot has gone haywire since I have had Dinner.. Bloody technology!

Sadly, it's almost 800,000 dead in the USA.

We booked our 3rd with our clinic and 1st available appointment was 4touloeyd h of March next year that's 7 months since or second. Yet they recommend it should be sooner.

The UK Guardian has reported a few lately. Perfectly healthy folk that have turned into corpses within a couple weeks.


The saying that we all had thrust down our lugholes at the beginning, viz.,"We are all in this together" Crap, certainly seem to have had some success. I notice that has gone very quiet of late.

Setting aside all the noise for the moment, what are the anti Covid19 vax brigade (what 1 or 2 percent of Australia who are really dyed in the wool over it?) going to do? What is the end game?

No one is saving you from yourself. The High Court won't assist. Are you really going to not go into restuarants, coffee shops, hotels etc ever again because the mandatory requirements aren't going away any time soon (if ever)? What if the vax requirements extend to visiting hospital patients (even your own child)?

At what point do you accept that being part of society means consequences- namely giving up some personal ideals for the good of wait for it, the greater population (ie as determined by the people we have voted in to actually make the hard decisions for the greater good)?

If you truly believe in not being told what to do why not get serious and take off your seatbelt, do some drink driving, do 100 kph in the school zone? This is not aimed at anyone in particular, just all those people who are anti Covid19 vaxxers and is my opinion.
