I could only get Pfizer choice as well. Arm was bloody sore but no other effects so far.

Still nearly a fortnight to go - earliest booking I could get was 19/1. Hoping there are no glitches between now and then. I have no intention of going to town before then!
I doubt there's much choice over here in covidville there's simply not the testing capacity to give everyone PCR tests and the horse has well and truly bolted on registering RAT tests to capture or enforce reporting of the results. I've seen a couple of informal surveys where they asked the question " if you've done a RAT test and been positive have you followed up with a PCR" resulting in addition of that case to the numbers. Both surveys I have seen were running around 60% for "not in the numbers". I'd reckon NSW case numbers are running at about 100,000 a day. I'm not sure that's necessarily a bad thing though as most cases seem to be pretty mild and short lasting, particularly as the current guidelines are a week off work if you are positive and if you have no symptoms you are good to go with the added benefit of a few months of natural immunity heading into winter. The hundreds of thousands of NSW people who have caught covid since Christmas will be all good to go back to work when their holidays end [thumbsupbig]
I got 2 alerts from the covid app this morning after a half hour trip down the street. On the upside its good to know the notification of exposure system is still working but it does show how widespread exposure sites are, I was in both places for a total of 30 min or less. (nsw app records your check out when you leave a shop)

I was boosted 20/11/21, all pfizer, no ill effects and have eluded infection thus far. No point going out, the shelves in the shops are bare.
A few questions about this immunity assumption (not asking Tote this).
1. If one gets the Omicron 'sniffle' is one immune to Delta for while, or vica versa?
2. The preferred booster is one of the mRNA types which, apparently, is not as effective against Omicron as AZ because they target specific spike proteins that the big O has mutated from. (3Toes post about hospital admissions and deaths a couple of pages ago)
The idea of mRNA boosting came about well before Omicron came about.
Is this idea still correct?
3. What's wrong with getting AZ as a booster given #2 ?

Bummer. I read an article explaining this the other day Guardian?? Not sure about the source but it explained it was certainly different & "attacks" different bits or summat.. Maybe it was a Diver post? Read it somewhere. Bugger!
