Cleaning up another covid mess

If you knew how the currently used COVID vaccines work, you would not make such a statement as "So, to state the bleeding obvious - being vaccinated confers immunity, that is the ability to resist disease" in a discussion about COVID vaccines.
And can you please point out where I stated that "just being healthy DOES protect anyone against a novel virus" instead of just stating comments in there to deflect from the fact that I think you don't know what you are talking about.
In case you can't remember, you posted -
"Covid 19 is a new virus and no-one has any immunity to it until they've had it (and survived) or had a vaccine",
which implies that you ARE "immune" to the virus if you have previously caught it (and survived) or had a vaccine - which I think is a totally incorrect statement.
Anything you have since thrown up as an argument to my original comment on your post is "red herrings" trying to deflect from the fact that your statement has been called out to be WRONG.
Like I said, immunity doesn't mean what you seem to think it does. Getting Covid and surviving does give you immunity, and I was discussing that with a doctor last week. Having a vaccine does give you immunity - that's the point of it. No, that doesn't mean that you'll never get Covid again and no, vaccines don't provide protection for ever - but I think that we're all aware of that now.
