Covid Mk ll

I have a good mate who continually sends me media clips and articles that 'Prove' Covid is a hoax and an ploy by financial, mega-lords to control the world.

I have read/listened to a lot of what he sends me, so as to at least have an idea of what his justifications are.

A lot, if not most of it, is purely 'Confirmation Bias', in my opinion.

Conversely, I know people who are extremely susceptible to the 'Illusory Truth Effect', which is as bad as the aforementioned 'Bias'.

I'm like minded to Gruntfuttock, insomuch as I now ignore or don't mention anything involved with Covid theories.

Garry, it may be difficult, but if you've tried to give advice and it's fallen on deaf ears, so be it!

I’ve had a cold for the last few days. Yesterday, we were walking past a COVID testing site in Penrith and Elisabeth insisted that I get tested.

It came back positive this morning. She’s just done a RAT and it’s positive, too.

Edit: We’ve both had 4 shots.

One of our daughters let us know Saturday that her partner has got Covid ( they are booth teachers), All six in the house tested negative Thurs . Fri & Sat & he was the only one to test Pos using the nose test kit. On Sat morning grandson ( has already had Covid once )was complaining his throat was burning so they got some saliva test kits & four of them tested Pos & grand son was not one of them but I would say they will all get it . They all have had 3 jabs & adults are due for there 4th shortly.
My wife & I are due for our 4th after 25th so going to make appointment today & also get some Saliva kits.

PCR tests are still the gold standard. Many of the RAT test are less than 50% effective at picking up the current variants. Our rulz now are Covid until proven otherwise by PCR and ignore all negative RAT tests sorry to say.

If you have symptoms mask up and drive through PCR test if possible.

If test positive by RAT or PCR and are in a high risk group call your Doctor ASAP and ask for Phone Urgent consultation re anti vials. My counts is 10 plus in the last week and rising rapidly.

Both I and wife have had 4 jabs plus quad flu jab.
After flu jab one week later got flu .
About 3 weeks ago had Negative RAT but wife sick spo had PCR simply as I was driving her to test.
Both positive.
I got. It in head and throat and wife in chest and had antibiotics.
But we are still weak and tired .
Tried 9 holes at Maroochy River golf course a few days ago and both could not finish nine holes, just aches and pain in hips and legs and wife dizzy. We are 73 and 76.

How many cycles ? 25? 30? 45?

Started anti-virals today.

I went to the shopping centre today. I thought, "I don't care if I look stupid and if I'm the only person wearing a mask, I'm doing it."
Seems I was amongst about 5% of the visitors, all of that sensible, mask toting 5% were old enough to be grandparents.

What did the FOUR jabbbbs do for you? - bearing in mind they were aimed at the 2029 - 2020 'original' breed ? Not Delta, and not Omicron and certainly not the latest ...

Has your Doctor suggested testing (both) your Vit D level ? - Why not?
