Yes, can't have the inm... 'Residents', get fresh air AND. free. Vitamin D to feed their immune system.... Keep 'em locked out of sunlight, and miserable and depressed and inactive. Only thing missing is Midazolam. [bigwhistle]
There are a few reasons my wife, a nurse of over 20 years in aged care has left the industry for good, covid responses and attitudes make up all of them which I will not go into on a public platform because as we all know if anyone speaks real world truths from experience not fantasy land the labels come out....
All I will say is I hope to die before an aged care facility is the only option
My wife worked for many years in aged care (outreach) prior to her retirement and it was most definately one of the most under paid and thankless jobs, I wouldn't do it for all the tea in China.
And yes I too would prefer to fall off the perch before I am consingned to Gods waiting rooms.
And made even worse when dealing with people who are begging to see family and friends, begging to get out of their room and saying they would rather die than be locked away like a prisoner but alas no one shall die and they must be kept safe at all costs
Yeah pass
