On the east coast, depending where you book you can also wait several weeks also. Using the ACT govt booking system the Az wait is 3 months, but at my local chemist the wait is 2 hours - depends where you book.Quote:

NSW has only delivered less than half of the AZ used in Victoria.

So in areas where things are actually under control, why would you potentially compromise your outcomes in order to speed things up?
It is an interesting article and highlights the conundrum that states that are currently covid free will face in transitioning to a situation where covid is endemic. Towards the bottom there are some contradictory statements from different parties and nowhere is there a mention of hospitalisation rates. It seems that the Singaporean government is measuring their response from cases rather than hospitalisation rates out of a large amount of caution, possibly because of the delay between infection and hospitalisation.Quote:

You need to keep up - yes the general policy is distribution in line with population but when the new shipments came in and because of the high infection rate in NSW, allocations (as explained by the SA Premier) of the extra vaccines were distributed where needed most but all States got some but in different proportions - these have to be transferred back from NSW through reduced allocations from Sep on.Quote:
