My ex housemate visits on Monday night and on his way back home rings me to say his car has overheated. I go an check and it has split the top of the radiator. I tow him home. Thankfully the temp gauge did rise and he switched it off - engine was quite cool.
Next day I drive all the way back to his house to start work - out with the radiator and down to Natrad and got a new radiator - place is open no issues. The thermostat had failed the hot water test so a new one and gasket was needed as well as coolant. Natrad did not have any so 100m down the road to Supercheap. Click and Collect only but their site does not list the items required and is difficult to use on the phone - the guy refused point blank to assist - wouldn't even come out of the shop and had to talk on the phone.
Repco was immediately opposite and the guy came out and I explained the problem face to face. He said had to do Click and Collect but he would help - inside he looked up the correct part numbers and gave them to me to enter on my phone - all done and paid for and 5 minutes later the parts were in the back of my car - no rules broken and great service provided.
And Bunnings - 7 day wait for Click and Collect there - ask me how I know.
I very much appreciate the need to restrict movement in retail stores but to be reduced to Click and Collect using the systems the stores have is ridiculous.
Oh on the comment that 50 infections per day is not high, on a per capita equivalent that is the same as Melbourne or Sydney having about 700 per day - so quite high.

We just finished 2nd Dose of covid vaccines for 200++ people with Pfizer and about 20 AZ and a few slow 1st dose to see again in 3 weeks. Just after completed we received a big box of I got Vaxxed band-aids, Stickers and badges
6 weeks ago it was about even for 1st and 2nd dose bookings. The clear overwhelming bias to the 2nd dose now means vaccination sites are almost finished happily. The Government supplied bits are a bit late as we have almost finished with a clear ending in sight now. I am ordering significantly less vaccines for the next fortnight tonight. With over 80% of people over 18 and significant amount of 12 to 16 year olds had or shortly getting their covid vaccines I am ready to go bush walking in the mountain where the mobile phone will not work.
The very small minority of very loud look at me people still on their crusade to stop people helping each other to avoid Covid19 in our communities lost that battle months ago.
Sadly I know one anti V who is now in intensive care. Their choice not to take a vaccine appointment we offered might be a regret plus today? No one in intensive care is assured of survival. I Hope they survive and recover as well as possible.
Glass of wine in hand making doing the rotten reports needed each Friday. ****es never done untill the paper work is finished. The red is helping
Enjoy the red NavyDiver. You and your team deserve it.
Amazing to see almost 100,000 doses getting done every day.
1 week to go and Victoria should be 90% first dose and 70% second dose.
Fingers crossed we see daily case numbers take a turn south soon. 🤞
Adelaide hill for sure Ian. A very nice person grateful for my help gave it to me. The Doctors, Nurses and my staff do the hard work and I get the Vino
Got better. Post the Paperwork I ordered the neglected kids a feed from a cool Turkish gent. Kababs are yum. A order muck up for some one else saw one of the young gents slipping the very tasty muck up in with my order
