A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

A work colleague was in the UK a couple of weeks ago and caught covid delaying his return. His description of his covid experience was that he completely lost his sense of smell, food tasted like cardboard and he felt like crap for a few days. We don't know what flavour of covid he had but there's a fair chance it was Omicron.
He's back in oz now having tested negative and jumped through all the necessary hoops. Taken in the context of the linked story everything stated in the article is correct, double vaccinations didn't protect him from what was a nasty dose of the flu but it did stop him from dying or bring hospitalised.

    Tote
That's a great story. Unfortunately, in the UK they are treating the situation a little less optimistically.

Not a problem. I'll take QLD " misery " ahead of fairy tales any day.

No Shortage in supplies its the Gov "CVAS"ordering process Mario. (Nice people work there with ridged rulz- they try)

My last order that was for this year was just over Two weeks ago. Every much bigger order arrives 7ish Jan. Its the same for every vaccine site. Chemist get a similar 2 week process. I have now started using a weird bit which allows weekly by using other places that have a different fortnightly cycle and shifting vax between us. It is a PITA but works. All of us got caught with our pants down by the change to Five Months booster. Had that seensable choice being November A million plus more would have had a booster today!

Two of mine did a very valid dummy re the new school/kindergarten style training. It repeats the same really insulting stuff we have already been subject to. 2 plus hours per module.

IF we only reviewed the 30 changes would only take us 40 minutes as most of it we all ready know. More than a few grumps on this topic are expected! Its a little like being asked to rebuild your entire truck if you change just the oil

Covid Boosters are walk in no bookings at several city sites!!!!!

Royal exhibition centre covid booster walk in St V running it

Monash health was walk in for booster 4/5 December it is not clear if it is still

Vaccination centres offering enhanced access for people with a disability Link

You are in a medical priority category and can get it at 2 months Mario. If you do not get it by next Friday call me!

PS side effects from my Pfizer Booster yesterday is still JUST a slightly sore arm. Off for another run I whine so much
