Here is a current news report on the Aged Care Vaccination crisis. It paints a sorry picture, even more disturbing than what I posted earlier.

I still cannot hear the music

    A little it or enough?

Spotify says that it is working to add advisory warnings to any podcast on its platform that discusses Covid-19.

CEO Daniel Ek unveiled the plans to bar the streaming giant's contributors from sharing "deceptive" information that could pose a threat to public health.

He said that the platform's new advisory warning will redirect users to a data hub of coronavirus facts.

The move follows criticism of its work with Joe Rogan, a US podcast host who has interviewed vaccine-sceptics

Not yet I get my kicks from radio running at the moment

My son just made his usual phone call while he is on his lunchtime walk in Canberra. We could not hear each other over the noise of the "End the Mandate" protest.

Assuming they are talking about the ACT's vaccine mandate, it seems likely that the numbers mostly come from elsewhere - ACT has recorded 98.6% of 12+ vaccinated with two doses.

That's good work, but to put it in perspective, the population would not be as much as a large city. But good work, all the same.

There is a fair bit in the media over here about masks, mask quality ratings, and the growing problem with counterfeit masks. I was well aware of the CE (Conformité Européenne) logo indicating the product is made to a quality standard and the affiliation to quality that equipment marked as such has but I was unaware of the close similarity of a logo that simply means "China Export". Damnable sneaky stuff.

Had no idea of the conflicting logos until reading about the differences between masks and how to get the most out of them under the new NZ regulations over lunch. I wondered since then if anyone/everyone else was aware of the similarity or if I was too long under my rock...

I doubt that there's any country in the world where that passing off would be legal.

I rode through Princes Park yesterday afternoon and was surprised to see cars parked on the nature strips instead of in the empty on-street car park spaces available. In some cases they'd clearly driven down the footpath. I used to live near there and on days when there was an AFL game at Princes Park you'd get cars parked everywhere but I've never seen anyone park in the wide strip between the road and the park - in particular because the Council parking officers would have been all over it. Got about 100ms further on and there was a group of about 60 - 100 people - the posters they'd taped to the trees indicated that they were anti-mandate protesters. A quick Google reveals that it was a protest organised by an anti-mask protester who called a magistrate in SA a traitor and an imbecile, and has promised to hang members of the judiciary - and a range of other groups.

In any case, Vic currently has 92.47% of residents 12+ double vaccinated.

I made it to 2 sets to Love last night Big come back! I did see a far away disturbance chat which held up play for a few minutes. The commentator said something about "Not giving that air time!" Loved it.

3 weeks ago I figured I’d place an order for RA Tests…….as it seemed impossible to get them anywhere……and I doubt I’ll be able to get the free ones I’m entitled to.

    Figured let’s be proactive……

They arrived today, 4 x 2 nasal kits

    Aussie made as well…….

We are on final stages of getting ready to hit the road…….having these might be handy over the next few months

Hopefully WA borders will be relaxed and of RA Tests are part of entry than won’t have to go looking for one…..although we’d be happy to do 14 days at the border self isolating.

We actually placed 2 orders through two different online websites…..no news of the second order arriving as yet.
