Our house is over it again tommow. Yep we are all fully vaccinated and yet all but have had mild symptoms and a positive test. Except one- Me. I did get a possative 4o minutes late on a RAT test then a negative PCR so no idea if I did or didn't. Suspect I did.

We all can see the numbers in hospital daily. Ramping of Ambulances. overcrowded emergency departments, burnt out medical staff. 70 odd staff sick at a hospital east of me yesterday. Do the maths on how that impacts on every day health care outcomes.
Un-Vaccinated are ignorant selfish *******. Go get ****ed is my only thought for them now! Yep I need a holiday, fishing trip or long walk in the mountains Just might do that this weekend.

Yes, a holiday might be a good idea for YOUR health. Those 70 sick staffers were NOT well-looked after by their employer.

Its all over, no masks needed. Its only a bus load dead each week Sad news is BA4 & BA5 are kicking butt OS and likely here soon. Kids 6 months plus might in the vax cue in the US soon. The really bad news is prior infection is NOT protective from the soon to arrive BA4 & BA5 and of course its more contagious

It may not be worse then the current covid omicron symptoms/impact, Its only a bus load dead each week

Happily planning to stop vaccines soon and join the stuff it crew. Just kidding- I'd feel bad for those who want to protect themselves a much as they can. Getting plenty of interesting yarns from the being Flu or Covid vaxed. Its about 50/50 for those who have had both Covid and Influenza on which one was worse. The Long Covid types suggest it wins by a long shot! Some of the bad flu cases argue other wise. We are now 80% Flu vax and 20% covid boosters.

I am about to get out of the pool and start running 10* 50metres next wee week. Honesty 500m is a yawn but Rehabilitation is important so I will do it. Bike permitted as well thank fully as the poor sods at the pool have had it up to their necks with this black duck running in the deep end of the pool for a hour or two each day. Broome marathon is off till next year due to staff shortage alas

Its really interesting to watch the non response from the politicians who were wringing their hands over the possibility of unnecessary deaths during lockdown, not a peep now.......

Don't fight with stupid is the reasoning I think. It fails to pay at all

Geez to me its not the Covid to worry about it's the flu.

My wife and I have had all the shots (4 covid, 1x 4 part Flu, the deluxe version)

We both now have a bad dose of the flu ( apparently Influenza type A , to be confirmed). We had a full test today after both being negative for Covid on a RAT.

My wife is on antibiotics as she has propensity for lung infections.

This was after i had another dose of something 1 week after the flu needle.

Every year I have a flue jab and Every year I get a few days of feeling absolute crap after it.
I suppose it is better than getting a Full blown case of the flue But it IS very unpleasant all the same.

51 deaths today, 73 yesterday, climbing, and way higher than at any time from the start of the pandemic up to the end of last year, not as high as it was for a few days at the end of January, but at the current rate of increase will be passing that by the end of next week or thereabouts.

So what is happening on the covid front? Steady dropping of any attempts to control it!
