    Landy @ Play

    Well Boys n Girls

I had Princess Fiona out in the country today for the first time and very pleasant it was too.

Everything went fine but as I'm a newly converted LandRover owner my opinion is still a bit "iffy" as to the decision I've made about my purchase.

One thing I noticed is that the standard springs are very firm and it doesn't handle as well as I would have expected on rough gravel roads. I intend to lift it 50mm and replace the Std springs n shocks so any suggestions would be appreciated. Its also very narrow in the wheelbase and I want to increase the offset as much as I can to get some stability into the vehicle too.

Now I'm gonna have a rant Bloody Forestry Tasmania ****in Bathtubs. . They bloody well got Tassie locked up. "Come to a working Forrest" they say. Well we went to a working Forrest today in the South East corner of the state and every side road of the main throughafare was locked of by a boom gate.

    Ok deep breath. Rant over

You now own a Landrover..no excuses like locked gates should stop you its just another obstacle to negotiate.

You shouldn't have to do anything to increase stability, she should be rock stable to start with. Being so narrow in the wheelt rack is one of their features as their stability comes from having such a low centre of gravity, not from their track width.

Also can be fun watching patrols come up behind you and try to follow in your tracks, only to get stuck between rocks and trees
