I can’t begin to calculate the dollars I’ve saved by being a member here - along with many other things you’ve mentioned. 20 Years.

I joined to learn a thing or 2 about my RRC which I got from my FIL and get some info on bits and pieces. This lead me to buying other Landies and relying on this forum for advice and support to keep them going - I’d like to think I’ve paid that back in some part with what I’ve learned here.

And let’s not forget - I wouldn’t have bought the 101 without the support of the members here (and a few bottles of red at Melrose when my missus told me - “just go and buy the bloody thing if you want it”

I did want it and I did buy it. 20 Years.

Also remember a great game of Cards against Humanity around a campfire at Melrose too some years back - we must do that again. 20 Years.20 Years.

That sounds like a typical LR spouse who has come to realise she is losing the battle & speaks forth in utter desperation.

We should all have one of those if only to keep the peace.

If only they realised at the time just how much cash & time was going to be spent to achieve her olde man's dream.

I guess you can't turn the clock back.

As I was explaining to SWMBO it is important to know how to replace the Turbo on a 2001 Defender.
When she replied that I don't own a 2001 Defender, I had to say I might in the future.
She said not while she's around!
Just because I said You might not always be around a great big argument started?
I sometimes think SWMBO has a funny set of priorities!

She was on her 3rd bottle of Shiraz IIRC in the main tent with around 10 friends sitting around. She couldn’t back out once she said it. She admitted later she didn’t think I’d find a 101 so quickly - but I already had my eye on one before hand. 20 Years.

I never told her how much I spend on any of my vehicles and she didn’t ask so that kept us both happy.

I have a new SWMBO now who also doesn’t want to know how much I spend on them - we each get an allowance - what we both spend ours on is none of the other persons business. 20 Years.20 Years.

I can see a downsizing of the fleet at some stage though - I’m leaning towards keeping 2 vehicles both of which are in good running order - the Jag is one, it’s still up for debate if I move on the RRC or the 101.

As far as practicality goes, the RRC makes more sense to keep but my heart says the 101. Time will tell - there’s no rush. 20 Years.

The biggest **** about it all is I haven’t driven ANY of them in over 18 months because of ****ing covid… 20 Years.

The amount I have learnt from the forum is huge. On the downside it has got me hooked on Land Rovers!
Thanks for all your hard work keeping the forum going.
