You are not wrong there...doing a cab clean out on one of the Cat 980H's not long ago (couldn't sit in it any longer the way it was..) and
found a boiled egg behind the seat under all the empty chip packets, water bottles etc..

And don't start me on the fridges in trucks ..If you can survive eating your lunch after they've been in there then I reckon you
could survive the Chinavirus!! Only takes a couple of minutes or so while your being loaded(or end of shift) to clean them out with Windex and a clean rag.

    And clean windscreens/mirrors etc....And,,,,Grrrrr!!

I once had a sales manager who kept a Big Mac in the centre console of his company Commodore for at least a year.
Funny thing was, it didn't seem to rot at all and looked as good as new.

On TVs, I was in a Good Guys today and they certainly had good deals on HiSense TVs. Can't comment on quality, but the prices were right.

If you didn't clean your vehicle out at the end of the day at one of my employers you were on a charge.

Transport Sergeant used to like giving us young soldiers a hard time over vehicle condition.

    I guess it stuck
    Cheers

If the TV is LCD odds are it is a Chinese screen as Samsung and LG stopped making them a couple of years ago moving on the OLED and QLED

I believe Hisense and Sony use Samsung QLED panels. Panasonic used LG panels after they closed their factory in about 2017

The software does make a big difference to what you see on the screen. That said the panel does make a difference but the software can make up for some but not all of a lesser panel

When you are looking at the more mainstream brands you need to check and understand the model number. They sell similar appearing sets at different price points. There is a big difference between the picture on a bottom of the range to a top of the range same brand. This is about image on the screen not add on gadgets

The models lower in the price range will be sold by the shops that attract the price conscious shopper. The more expensive sets are sold in the shops the are more specialist. To use UK brands you will not find a top of the range TV in Argos

Had been a couple of years since I worked with TV manufacturers however do not believe this will have changed too much

Funny thing, Pedro, is that, after five days, we just received a message that 'The model we paid for is unavailable and won't be available for a month or so'. The listed price, at the moment, is $3200, whereas we paid significantly less.
After Helen made a phone call, it was suggested that we go to 'A store near us' and have a look at options. We may have some bargaining power here, as we paid upfront, for the original choice.
Perhaps I should move this to the 'Conspiracy Theory' thread?

    Ordered a $550 Kogan 4k 65” as a Shed TV.
Checked one at a friends place and can’t really fault it.

Next one for indoors will come after the renovation.

Didn’t even know they made fridges.

I’ve got an older Hisense telly from 2011 and it still goes like it did when I got it and the new one is 2 years old and fingers crossed it is also still going.
