    Last time I saw UK stats for pedestrian deaths which was a few years ago now over 50% were marked down as people not looking where they were going. Next on the list was alcohol and drugs impaired followed by wearing dark clothing at night

    Wouldn't it be easier to have a transmitter in an existing pedestrian light that can give a warning to a mobile phone, within a set proximity?

    Possible? Perhaps, with a ****-ton of cooperation, coordination and possibly legislative coercion. Easier? Not under any definition of the word I'm aware of.

    Unsafe practice

    A pedestrian crossing near me has the lights at waist height. Has been there like that for over a decade yet I still look up for the lights. The other crossings around here are all set high up like ‘normal’ just this one that is different
