    Ctp

Just re-registered the Defender and found the cheapest CTP and wanted to spread the word.

    $330 from Zurich.

$422 and up for everyone else.

Seems that Zurich either isn't taking into account the weight of a Defender - which brings on the extra $90 or so, or, as my insurance mate said, they're looking for customers.

Whatever, I once swore never to deal with Zurich again, but this way it'll only take me another 19 years to get my money back from them.

    Cheers
    Simon

Of course, every AULROean who benefits from this takes the years of torture I have to put Zurich through down by one.

I shop around every year regardless of who I'm with or like. One year, one company can like older cars, the next year they don't .

The MAA greenslip site make the comparisms easy.

I ring around every year for both the comp insurance and the greenslip. I got my comp insurance from QBE for 655 as opposed to 1100 through NRMA, makes a big difference. Matt

weve got all our policies with nrma.......
you get a discount if you have your home with them as well.....but you need to ask.....
we thought we paid too much this year......and have been receiving refund cheques from them.....
apparently they worked out they overcharged us so are sending us refunds....
we have received 4 or 5 cheques so far from them......its good to have some money come back from them.....

Yeah, I tried NRMA, got the comprehensive with them so went looking for the discount. Nothing in it, $7 more than anyone else. When I asked why they said I already have the discount.

My mate who works for said insurance company went elsewhere for his CTP after finding it cheaper even with employee discount.

    Go figure.

    They should have never demutualised.

Thing is with the 130, don't know about the rest of you, it comes in over whatever weight limit, so usually gets the hundred or so whacked on the top for being heavy.

Checked out the website for comparison, but it didn't notice the weight thing either, so all the quotes were at the $330 mark.

    Cheers

    The 130 weighs 2320kg.

Maybe it's a 2t limit before the price hike.
