Sorry to hear this, their passing certainly leaves a huge hole in your life. We didn't get pushed into having another dog although there was plenty of advice.

The dog would probably outlive us & that ain't fair on the dog.

Well almost 6 weeks ago and although we had decided not to look for another dog, we have now adopted Billy.
His elderly owners were going to hand him in to a shelter and my mates dad was looking after him so he called me and sent some pics and a video.
Not sure what breed he is but he is gentle and well trained and a demon with a ball.
Very energetic and loves to run, he also lived with a cat which was a plus.

Would suggest a Scottish Terrier X with Rough Coated Jack Russel leanings. Possibly.
