If the Doc is generally ok then you need to consider they may have had a bastard of a day listening to other people's problems.

Specialists in this field are few and between, since my condition is terminal and deteriorating and I was under the previous neuros care with medications to give me a bit better quality of life. I know my time is coming and i am fighting a losing battle. But to rely on some one for your care only to be source of income and nothing else it seems, not even passing me on the some one else makes me angry. So I have to start over again, 7 months is valuable time lost for those of us with this condition plus $500 initial consultation
Makes me wonder what he was running from?
a similar thing happened when my wife gave birth to or last child by cesarean, the doctor just vanished over night. It’s no wonder either, he made such a mess of the job she was never able to have anymore kids after.
Fair point and more than fair to be angry Mario. I thought about the Prior one and think that's an whole issue by it self mate. Why didn't the one leaving hand you over to a suitable specialist to ensure continuity of care??
If one of my Doctors goes on a holiday they spend almost a week "handing over" notes and instructions to another Doctor to ensure the high care people they have are not left hanging or worse! I am not certain about the specialist code of conduct yet suspect they have a obligation to ensure your are covered before they took off?
You might like to ask APHRA via phone 1300 419 495 or Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency - Complaints and feedback about us
I would first try and ring the specialist that left asking if they took any steps to not leave you with out specialist care. You may like to chat with your Doc on that one or let rip via a complaint about the prior specialist leaving you high and dry.
At least he hung around until the Birthing was done. Sounds like he didn't actually bugger off mid Ces.
Or maybe he did? [bighmmm]
Thought.
Maybe one day someone will discover a Tropic Island covered in GPs, Neurologists etc & thousands of others from the Medical Profession who decided it was all getting a bit too hard & buggered off.?
No good yelling out for James in the crowd, he'll still be here battling on trying to help people.:TakeABow:
