yeah that's what I do most of the time. ;)

Funnily enough FS is harder to fly than the real thing because you don't get the same sensory feedback and all round vision.

The Hawk simulator they have here is a beaut. It's sort of like an Omnimax theatre with a cockpit sitting in the middle. When I had a go in that it was pretty realistic apart from the lack of Gs. Managed to shoot down a couple of MiGs and do two landings, including an instrument approach. Obviously missed my calling! ;)

It's MDC or miniature detonating cord. When you eject the cord shatters the canopy about 0.2 sec before you are blown through it. :eek:

There is also a handle inside to pull which sets it off independently in case you need to exit in a hurry on the ground.

You have to be a bit careful not to knock the wrong thing, the back seat passenger can turn things off and the pilot in the front can't override it. Interesting design. :eek:

My X1/9 can pull 6gs no problem, especially with me driving it. LOL

Maybe you get your mates with this cute little thing to fly to Canberra and drop a few bombs on a few bitchin' moanin' pollies.
