Random people dropping by looking for land rover parts

    Hey all,
Since moving house my boneyard is visible from the road, a mainroad from Bendigo to heathcote so plenty of traffic.
In the last 2 weeks ive had at least 6 people drop by asking if im interested in selling any cars or parts. Now I dont mind people coming by and asking but generally they want the bits that i wanna keep so unfortunately i have to say no.
Im assuming that since the new defender is on the road people just want an old one now. A lot of the people dont have much knowledge of landrovers and have plenty of questions to ask which im happy to answer which i find amusing.
Just wondering if many other people have this happen and is it a more recent thing?
    Cheers

Sounds like you should venture into selling Land Rovers from your place. You could make a little bit of cash on the side if you can find the vehicles.

I've tried that. A bloke called in, asking if I've got a L/R for sale , he needed one to tow same planes around. I asked him how he knew I had L/Rs as none of them were visible from the road. Saw them from the air he said.

My SIIa diesel tray top was my daily driver from 2004 to 2013. I would get notes left on the windscreen asking would I consider selling it, please call them. One father and son knocked on my door and asked the same. Always polite, so I have a friendly chat and offer advice, but never sell.

I was towing my 80" to Stanthorpe for Rove National Rally a few years back , got stopped just before Warwick about 6am for RBT check , 2 min's for test & 1/2 hr to talk about 80" . That buggered up my arrival & set up time.
