And once people died of polio. Times are a changing as they say. Go with it. You might find you enjoy yourself. At the very least, you're much more likely to survive a crash in a modern car whilst trying to work out how to use the large tv screen.
How big are these big screens in new cars going to get , some look to take up a bout a 1/4 of the middle dashboard and why can you use one and not a Mobile Phone ???? . Once you could control all facets of the vehicle with taking eyes of the road , how can you do this with these ever getting bigger screens . D'oh .. Yeah once you could get fuel at the service station if the electricity or the internet failed !! .

I've got a small screen I can hardly see , but voice control for most services I want.
I have to stop to put a usb stick in though.
if its just entertainment then my ipod goes for about 2 days.
I dont need navigation , I have Mk11 eyeball and brain.
my next new car will have one but I will probably leave it turned off.
