Land Rover Captive Nut Speed Clips V Bog Standard

    Hello All,

Just wondering whether Land Rover part number 302532 labelled as "Nut-spiralok" A.K.A. Captive Nut Metal Speed Clips; or Speed Nuts - are a special Land Rover part or are they interchangeable with items readily available at places like Autobarn?

The part number 302532 can be used on floor panel kits for Series 3; or as mudguard clips for a Defender 110.

    Kind regards
    Lionel

    Hello Graeme,

Yes, there are lots of options in generic speed nuts. However, the coarse thread of the top mudguard bolts means that not every captive nut may fit.

I wound up raiding a Series 3 parts vehicle. While the floor screws are domed and slotted - so different to the Defender mudguards hex bolts; the speed nut clips themselves are interchangeable - thankfully. Because a couple of the Defender's clips were broken or missing.

    Kind regards
    Lionel
